Alhamdulillah, I had a wonderful time at the MSA East Zone conference. I learned alot about the Blessed Prophet (SAW) and my love for him has significantly increased. How can one not love a man who, despite the fact that by the end of his life he lead a large empire, would sleep on a plane mat, one which would leave visible marks on his back? One whose answer to anyone who called on him was "Labayk"(colloquially, "At your service")? One who was so kind to even the non-human creation that when a kitten fell asleep on his cloak, he cut a piece of it off rather than disturb the kitten? It amazes and shocks me that anyone would want to defame him. Even the Buddha, who has become synonymous with compassion in both the East and the West, hesitated before starting an order of Nuns. The Prophet (SAW) did not hesitate to teach women what they needed to know in order to become spiritually enlightened individuals who would be succesful both in the dunya (this world) and the akhira (hereafter).
Oh Allah ta 'ala, shower blessings on your beloved Prophet and let knowledge of his perfect character spread from the east to the west.
